Refugee & Immigrant Services

The Refugee & Immigrant Program offers an array of services, such as, case management, family support services, and mental health counseling to the newcomer communities of Western Massachusetts. Bilingual counseling is available in Russian, Bosnian, Serbo-Croation, Vietnamese and is linguistically and culturally sensitive to the client’s background. The staff is prepared to interact with refugees and immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia, the former Soviet Union, Bosnia and other countries.

A primary goal of the program is to assist newcomers in negotiating American systems, such as social services, health care and school systems. Training, consultation and supervision are offered to assist in "building bridges" between the newcomer communities and providers.
